Back from evening classes, things went pretty well.
Lt. Commander Tracy Cohn, Science Officer of the USS Denver, a Nova-class starship designed for short-range scientific survey.
With a crew compliment of only 80, the ship is much smaller than big flashy beasts like Enterprise or even Voyager, but it specializes very well and has a lot of labs and scanners. For defense purposes, the Nova-class has three torpedo launchers and 11 phaser strips. It’s small, but I think the design looks really cool. It would fit Tracy’s character, too.
anonymous compliments are so cute like their only aim is to make you feel better, they dont want any respect or personal thanks, just the satisfaction knowing they made someones day, now how fricken cute is that am i right
…I’m now one away from 350 followers here and 3 away from 100 on my Naoto blog. Wow. I feel like I should do something to celebrate each of those when I get there, but what?
Damnit. Reading the TV Tropes entry on Analogue: A Hate Story makes me really, really miss that AU RP with Yuu. I want people to RP as those characters or something. ._.
Time to get the test corrections in to help my grade, that’s mainly why I’m going in to class. It’ll at least keep me afloat.
Why not commish someone to draw it? >3>
Not a bad idea.
Well I did a lot worse than I thought I did, although maybe my prediction earlier was just optimism. It’s not like it’s terrible. 52 percent, okay yeah, that’s pretty terrible, but it’s only half as terrible as it had the potential to be. Yeah, that kind of thinking is where I’m at now to avoid darker thoughts. The good news is, this professor wants students to pass and not fail, and is bending a lot of policies to help our grade, like taking the lowest test grade off and replacing it with your final grade, and allowing you to fill out test corrections to gain some points back.
Because I missed 48 points out of 100, the equation for how many I can gain back on test corrections is 48(.52), which comes out to 25 points, rounded up. That means I can eventually get to 77 percent, or so, which is a C. So although the situation initially looked pretty bad, as long as I put in the effort, it’s still very possible to achieve victory.
I’m definitely not going to give up like I did before. I’m going to struggle until the very last grade and take the failure if I really can’t hack it, rather than dropping the class repeatedly to save my (okay but not amazing) GPA. Math is by far my worst subject but I can’t give up here, I need to get this done to do what I actually want, pursuing my degree in Education.
eee I’m back in a Trek phase and I wanna see Tracy in a DS9 or Voyager era Starfleet uniform
